I am a mind body health practitioner who specialises in helping people to resolve their chronic symptoms and regain their health and their lives. I myself suffered for 8 long years with ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), Chronic Migraine and various other related syndromes, and I had to use a wheelchair to mobilise. I recovered completely using a mind body approach (before then breaking my spine in 4 places in a mountain biking accident 2 years later but that is another story!) so I understand what it is like to be suffering with no treatment available. This approach changed my life and I now use my professional skills and training as well as my own valuable experience of long term ill health and recovery to guide others back to full health. My approach is rooted deeply in embodiment and nervous system regulation- we can achieve deep and lasting transformation when we drop out of the thinking mind and into the wisdom of the body. My decade of experience of mindfulness is intertwined with somatic practice, emotional awareness and expression, brain retraining and compassionate support to meet you exactly where you are and hold you in a supportive and compassionate space. I work 121 in person and online, have a group recovery programme and I lead workshops and retreats around Scotland. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved being active and full of energy every day. As a child, I’d run, cycle and skate anywhere and everywhere I could. As I 'grew up', life took over, as it does to the best of us. I lost all connection with what I loved most, that being the great outdoors, feeling strong and running wild and free in nature. So many of us give up on fitness and fun when 'life happens'. I want to show you that it doesn't have to be that way. For a long time I had no solid goals or vision for my future and when I finally decided to get back into health and fitness, the confusion and frustrations of the health and fitness world became apparent. I’ve made a ton of mistakes over the years (resulting in a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering), but I’ve come a long way since then (stronger, fitter and healthier than ever with a 5k PB of 15:54 and numerous race wins including marathons and ultras). I want to help you navigate the same minefield, the enjoyable way. I'm fed up with all the false information and money making gimmicks out there, so I've designed an easy to use, science-based coaching system that you can rely on. You probably haven't seen any of my groundbreaking methods before. Online health and fitness coaching is a new and exciting way for me to enable life changing transformation and fitness coaching to my clients. See what some them have to say here. Online coaching can be utilised by anyone, anywhere, offering convenience, flexibility and affordability. Best of all, I can give people more support and accountability than I ever could in person. I have journeyed deep into Shamanism at Edinburgh Shamanic Centre and learned how to use sound for therapeutic purposes with Soundsphere in the Scottish borders. I have also traveled to the Amazon jungle to work with the local plant medicines and to bring the teachings about the sacred uses of Kambo frog medicine from the Matses tribe. Anima Pacha also serves wide world community by creating Shamanic drums for other people or helping to birth their own by hosting various workshops. My name is Caroline and I have been a practising counsellor for over 24 years and somatic movement therapist for 5 years. I am also an Access Bars practitioner and a devoted student and doula of innerdance consciousness. Innerdance has been in my life consciously for 5 years (it has always been here, I just didn't know it) and in the last 14 months, I have turned my heartmind fully towards my studies and practice through immersive and intensive study with the founder and the global community of co-founders who are my innerdance family. I now consciously integrate the science & sacred geometry of innerdance into every aspect of my life, it is my way of being, seeing, knowing, feeling, moving & dreaming.
